I have been following the case of Robert Dziekanski, The man who was tasered by police and killed. They have finally released the video and it is shocking to say the least.
The video is on every major Canadian news website and all I can think is thank God that someone made a video of this, otherwise it would get swept under the RCMP rug. If anyone doubts this simply take a look at Maher Arar, the Air India bombings, the fruit machine. They are in need of a major fucking overhaul. And will someone please clue in and locate the airport surveillance video, then we can see more than one view.
“[The video] is one person’s view. It’s from the viewfinder of one individual,” said Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokesman Cpl. Dale Carr, in a news conference on Wednesday. “It’s only one piece of evidence.”
Unfortunately the people who committed the crime are also the ones responsible for collecting the evidence. And if it wasn’t for Mr. Pritchard suing them and kicking up a fuss, they would have hidden this too. I am considering buying a small video camera and putting it in my courier bag just in case.
A coworker brought up a good point this morning. That if you took the uniform off the officers, and put them in civilian clothes, would it not be blatant murder? Four guys surround and assault an individual. And before you think, “but he is dangerous and sweating!!!” consider this: a few minutes earlier a woman attempts to talk to him while he is holding the small end table. If she wasn’t scared of him, why were the police so worried that the needed to taser him while he was standing there?
