So far only one company has bother responding to my boycott, Omega. I got some automated replies, but so far this is only real response.
Dear Mr Hamel,
Thank you for your e-mail and for sharing with us your concern about the situation in Tibet.
We truly respect your opinion; here is our position:We are not sponsors of the Games; we are the Official Timekeeper and are also responsible for the data handling. We are, above all, at the service of the athletes from all over the world and of the IOC, not of governments.
It is our policy not to get involved in politics because it would not advance the cause of sport which is one of the noblest human endeavours for creating understanding and peace around the planet.
Our role has always been to provide the timekeeping and data handling services, according to the terms of our contract with the IOC. We have been doing this since 1932.
This explains our presence in Moscow during the 1980 Olympics despite the boycott by the West. We also provided our services to the athletes at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles when they were boycotted by the Communist bloc. Our role with our 300 on-site timekeepers has always been clear of politics. Again, our partners are not the governments but the superb athletes and the IOC.
Peter Ueberroth, the head of the U.S. Olympic Committee, described the situation clearly and succinctly when he said, “Boycotts do one thing very well and only one thing: they punish athletes”.
Yours sincerely,

Corporate Communications
While I disagree that boycott the Olympics will only hurt athletes, I repect the fact that they have a corporate position, and stand by it. Plus the personal touch of sending me a real response goes a long way in cementing their relationship with me as a customer.
